The Sandy Spring Soccer Club has partnered with the Maryland Developmental Soccer League to provide summer soccer league opportunities for competitive level players
Who is the league for?
The summer league program is geared to keep travel/competitive level players in game shape. There are no practices during the summer season, just games.
How long are the games?
Upon registering, your son will be placed on a team with a coach who will manage the games. The team will play eight (8) games during the summer season with each game being 60 minutes.
What are the ages and format?
Players ages 2013 - 2014 will play in a 9 v 9 format. 2015 - 2017 will play in a 7 v 7 format. The 9 v 9 team will have up to 14 players and the 7 v 7 team will have up to 12 players. This will allow ample playing time for all of those players who are rostered.
How do I register and how will I receive communication?
Once you have registered for the summer league then we will add you to the team in Playmetrics. We will then upload the game schedule in the software. All communication will take place in Playmetrics.
Days: Saturdays and Sundays (Games)
Who: Competitive/Travel level players
Age: Boys – Born between 2013 – 2017
Game Locations: Montgomery County, MD (between Silver Spring and Olney)
League: Maryland Development Soccer League (MDSL) Summer League
Uniforms: Your player will receive 2 jerseys, 1 pairs of shorts, and 1 pairs of socks.
Season: This is a summer league only that will operate from June 28th - August 9th.
Cost:
- $95 (for returning players who do not need a uniform)
- $125 (for new players who will need a uniform)
