Parent Code of Conduct

Our club’s mission is to provide a positive, safe, and development-focused environment for all players. Parents play a critical role in fostering that environment. By participating in our club, parents and guardians agree to the following standards:

1. Support a Positive Environment

  • Encourage your child and all players with positive comments.
  • Focus on effort, improvement, and sportsmanship—not scores or results.
  • Celebrate teamwork, respect, and hard work.

2. Respect Coaches and Their Decisions

  • Allow coaches to coach. Do not shout instructions from the sidelines.
  • Trust the coaches’ judgment regarding playing time, positions, and team strategy.
  • Address concerns privately and respectfully—never during games or in front of players.

3. Respect Referees and Game Officials

  • Understand that referees (often youth themselves) will make mistakes.
  • Do not criticize, shout at, or approach referees during or after games.
  • Model respect; children learn from your behavior.

4. Promote Player Safety

  • Ensure your child arrives with proper equipment and hydration.
  • Inform coaches of any medical conditions or injuries.
  • Support the club’s concussion, SafeSport, and emergency policies.

5. Practice Good Sportsmanship

  • Show respect to all players, coaches, spectators, and opponents.
  • Avoid taunting, yelling, or the use of offensive language.
  • Make the sidelines a supportive and welcoming environment.

6. Communicate Constructively

  • Use appropriate communication channels for questions or issues.
  • Do not post negative comments about players, parents, referees, or club matters on social media.
  • Give coaches and volunteers reasonable time to respond to messages.

7. Observe the 24-Hour Rule

  • Wait at least 24 hours after a game before discussing concerns with a coach or club official.
  • This helps ensure productive, calm communication.

8. Volunteer and Participate Positively

  • Your involvement is encouraged, but please follow volunteer guidelines.
  • Support club fundraisers and events when possible.

9. Refrain from Sideline Coaching

  • Limit your sideline behavior to positive cheering.
  • Never attempt to direct play or contradict the coach’s instructions.

10. Follow All Club Policies

  • Adhere to team rules, schedules, attendance expectations, and financial commitments.
  • Respect field rules, facility guidelines, and league protocols.
