Welcome to the Sandy Spring Soccer Club!
Founded in March 2022, the Sandy Spring Soccer Club (SSSC) has quickly become a hub for soccer development in Montgomery, Howard, and Prince George’s Counties.
Our club is built on a close-knit community in a small town of fewer than 3,000 residents, which has grown into a big family. We are proud to provide a family-oriented, inclusive environment where players can develop their skills and reach their full potential—both on and off the field.

Mission:
At the Sandy Spring Soccer Club, our goal is to develop complete soccer players and even better human beings, both on and off the field, within a safe and supportive environment.
We focus on helping players excel in all aspects of the game—technical, tactical, physical, and psychological—while instilling positive core values and a strong work ethic.
Our programs provide a platform for success, preparing players to reach their potential at the collegiate and professional levels.

To provide the best environment for soccer players of all levels in Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Howard Counties, offering the highest quality player development programs, facilities, coaching, training, competition, and leadership.
Excellence in Coaching and Education:
The Sandy Spring Soccer Club (SSSC) is a developmental club dedicated to helping players grow emotionally, physically, and intellectually, both on and off the field. Our programs build confidence in training and games, allowing players to fully enjoy their youth soccer experience.
We focus on the five pillars of play—technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and psycho-social—to support players both on the field and in their daily lives. Our ultimate goal is to prepare each player for the long term, whether their path is recreational or aimed at college or professional soccer.
SSSC provides youth soccer experiences for boys and girls ages 3–17, offering recreational and competitive programming:
- Recreation: ages 3–8
- Select: ages 7–13
- Travel: ages 8–18
- Academy: ages 10–18
Our club offers a comprehensive player pathway for all skill levels, emphasizing technical skill development and a unique soccer philosophy.
We believe that community, leadership, mentorship, and excellence in soccer development lead to maximum results for every player. Our coaching approach encourages players to feel valued, strive for personal excellence, and recognize their own potential. Many players report that SSSC has helped them see the game differently—and themselves differently.
Language and Culture:
Montgomery County, MD, is one of the most diverse counties in the country. Combined with the surrounding areas, including Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and neighboring counties, we are proud to be a club for all players.
Our coaching staff reflects this diversity, representing various countries around the world, bringing a wide range of experiences, perspectives, and coaching styles to our players.
International Experience:
Starting at the U-13 level, selected travel teams have the opportunity to travel to South America each summer.
The purpose of these annual trips is to:
- Provide players with exposure to professional training environments
- Allow players to be seen and evaluated on an international stage
- Compete against top-level international competition
These life-changing experiences help players build independence, broaden their perspective, and create unforgettable memories.
Sense of Community:
Sandy Spring, MD, is a small town of just 2,855 residents, and our primary practice location, Sandy Spring Friends School, is a Quaker school known for its community-focused environment and the mantra: “Let Your Lives Speak.”
While many of our players come from surrounding areas—including Olney, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, Columbia, and Bowie—they all appreciate the strong sense of community our club fosters..
We believe that a sense of belonging is key to player success. SSSC welcomes players of all levels and provides a development pathway for everyone. While the pace of growth may vary for each player, our coaches are committed to helping every player reach their potential and succeed.
