The East Montgomery Girls Soccer Program is a new initiative from Sandy Spring Soccer Club dedicated to creating more opportunities for girls to play, grow, and fall in love with soccer.

In Montgomery County, girls often have limited opportunities to participate in girls-only soccer programs and are frequently placed in co-ed environments. Our goal is to change that by building a supportive soccer community where girls can develop their skills, build confidence, make friends, and enjoy the game alongside other girls their age.

Launching in April 2027, the program will initially serve girls ages 5–10 through a variety of accessible and engaging soccer experiences, including free after-school programming, girls-only clinics, festivals, and recreational opportunities.

Our Pathway

The East Montgomery Girls Soccer Program is the first step in building a long-term girls soccer pathway within Sandy Spring Soccer Club. As the program grows, our vision is to provide opportunities for players to progress from introductory soccer experiences into recreational, developmental, select, and eventually travel-level soccer.

We are excited to build this program alongside the girls, families, schools, and community of East Montgomery. Whether your daughter is picking up a soccer ball for the first time or already loves the game, we want her to have a place to play, learn, and grow.
